The Hyland House Board and Docents are very sad about the cancellation of Early Guilford Days due to the Covid-19 crisis. We hope that you will have fun instead with our
Virtual Early Guilford Days and our Activities to do at Home.

At Early Guilford Days, the Hyland House sets up four to five workshops that might vary each year. At these workshops elementary school students can learn 18th Century tasks, crafts and knowledge with hands-on activities. Workshops at the Hyland House usually include:

    • Hearth Cooking
    • Tin Smithing
    • Kitchen Garden and Medical Herbs
    • Schoolhouse
    • Calligraphy
    • Cornhusk Dolls Making
    • Cross Stitch.
